POSITION SUMMARY:

The Logistics and Planning Coordinator is responsible for supporting shipping, production scheduling, and materials planning at the Oakville plant. This includes releasing and adjusting production schedules based on demand, inventory levels, and material availability.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Diploma or degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, business administration, or a related field 0-2 years of experience in logistics, planning, or supply chain (co-op/internship experience in an asset)
  • Strong Organizational and time management skills
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in preparing and delivering weekly production schedules in a timely manner to support lead times for labour and raw material planning
  • Collaborate with Production, Purchasing, and Procurement teams to ensure effective communication and timely resolution of supply issues
  • Coordinate supplying and receiving plant schedules, including communication of kill and cut levels at Port Colborne and other plants
  • Enter weekly production order into SAP and creating purchase order and stock transfer order for meat and packaging materials
  • Managing the Semi-Finished inventory weekly basis
  • Support procurement of raw meat from external suppliers and other Olymel plants
  • Work with suppliers to maintain minimal inventory levels and help reduce lead times
  • Assist with month-end reporting on a timely basis and assist in completing weekly and monthly local reporting packages
  • Support timely setup of product codes to ensure efficient production
  • Duties Other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Manager
