Position Overview: As a Senior Data Engineer at R Systems, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and optimizing scalable data pipelines and cloud-native data platforms. You will leverage Python, Spark SQL, Spark Structured Streaming, DBT, and Databricks to build high-performance data solutions while collaborating with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with modern data engineering practices, CI/CD automation, and AWS cloud infrastructure to deliver secure, reliable, and scalable data platforms.

Key Responsibilities: Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Python, Spark SQL, Spark Structured Streaming, and DBT. Develop and optimize solutions on the Databricks Lakehouse Platform, including Jobs, Clusters, DBSQL, Volumes, and Delta Lake. Implement and manage Unity Catalog, including RBAC/ABAC, data lineage, and governance. Work with Delta Share to enable secure data sharing across teams. Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub and GitHub Actions. Manage and optimize AWS infrastructure for data engineering workloads. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, high-performance, and reliable data solutions.

Required Skills Strong experience with Python, Spark SQL, Spark Structured Streaming, and DBT. Hands-on experience with Databricks, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, Delta Share, Jobs, Clusters, DBSQL, and Volumes. Experience with GitHub and GitHub Actions for CI/CD. Strong understanding of AWS infrastructure and cloud services. Knowledge of data governance, access control (RBAC/ABAC), and data lineage. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
